I don’t know about you…but I find eBay so exciting…I’m obsessed…if I haven’t heard that ‘kerching’ at least a dozen times before bed I can’t sleep…I really can’t!

eBay is an amazing thing…especially for charity shops…it has given us a whole other world to explore with amazing results.

We’ve played with eBay for a number of years…nothing serious but we’ve had a few treasures along the way…most memorable was a silver cocktail shaker found in a bag of ‘ordinary’ donations…the type of items that would go on the shelf for a couple of pound at the most…our bread and butter stock.

This silver cocktail shaker was different…it was pure class…beautiful and so tactile…honestly I just wanted to hug it forever…they had to forcibly remove me from it when it sold!

The bidding war that ensued when it went to auction was something I’d never experienced before…the adrenaline was pumping…my colleagues and I kept messaging each other building the excitement even higher. I don’t remember the final price…I know it was good…but I do remember the feelings…the euphoria…the absolute amazement that we could have found and sold something like that…unforgettable.
